During the coronavirus epidemic, the Chinese government
and medical institutions showed a complicated state in the
treatment technology of the disease and the public's
response. Based on my various residency areas during the
period of the epidemic, this project starts from the
perspective of the text, old images and archival as the
medium, structure of urban and rural public health to
conduct a series of investigation and research, and to
explore how the concept of "space" represented by western
gradually expand into Chinese local society, how the medical
community gradually replace the natural resource community, and how traditional folk order gradually collapse by the
controlled life statistics.
At the same time, the emergence of
the isolation power has brought a micro-network woven by
institutions, customs, and ideologies in the post-epidemic
era. Under the situation that space is constantly being cut
and diferentiated, the discipline and control lingering on the
human body gradually become clear.
